Questions?

How many times have you asked a question, and you didn’t get the answer you were really wanting? Did you ask the right question?

question01

How many times have you been asked a question, and you knew that the questioner was really wanting different information than what was being asked. How did you feel being asked a question that wasn’t the ‘real’ question being asked?

Questions should be straight forward and to the point. If you ask a question that is ‘fuzzy’, you will get a fuzzy answer. If you ask a question that is confusing, you will get a confused answer. If you ask a question that is ‘hinting’, you will get a hint for an answer. If you ask a specific question, you will get a specific answer, most of the time.

To get the answer you want, you need to ask the question that will get that answer. Be straight forward and to the point. You may have to be more candid, more vulnerable, and step out of your comfort zone.

If you want something, ask for it! Be open and specific. Asking the questions you really want will open new experiences and opportunities.

If you don’t ask the right questions – you’re not going to get the answers you want.
