change happens in all areas of life when there is a change your focus is zeroed in
zeroed in on what you need it to be what is the change happening now?
when you are zeroed in you lose some priorities that you had you feel out of balance
you don’t spend as much time creating reading exercising socializing being outside sleeping meditating
you don’t do what you want for eating healthy working your business being present to those you love taking care of your family taking care of yourself
change happens how aware are you to how each change effects you?
what do you want to do with change? accept it know that you will be off balance for a bit grow with it be aware
with awareness you will be able to prioritize differently and keep what’s most important now
with awareness you will be able to shift to what’s most important and keep balance in your life
balance in life is everchanging with change balance is being present balance is being aware balance is choosing what’s most important to you
balance in life is to be looked at more broadly not focused on a short time period balance is part of growth spiraling upward growth balance changes with growth
balance is more like a teeter totter of life you have your ups and downs and as you go through the ups and downs and changes you will be in the center between the ups and downs you will be in the center between the changes and growth
when you are feeling out of balance breathe become aware of what’s changing what’s most important to you? what needs to shift with the change? what will you shift again when the change is embodied?
one of my favorite things to do is kayak. i have a favorite spot that i like to go. i paddle out, enjoying all the water and trees surrounding me.
my mind wanders as i paddle. my thoughts focused and sporadic.
i paddle through the narrows and come into a small outlet that is surrounded by trees. i see green above the water, i see green below the water. the water is clear and smooth.
my mind quiets. i connect to my inner being.
i let go
i connect to me
i connect to all that is
these moments are my time. my time to connect to myself. to be real with myself. to be aware of what’s most important to me. to be aware of my deepest dreams and desires.
it is these moments that i connect and become aware of what i need to let go, what i need to allow. who i’m being. who i want to be. what i’m doing. what i want to do. what i’m experiencing. what i want to experience. how i’m living. how i want to live. what i’m creating. what i want to create.
what do you do to create the space to connect to yourself? where is it that your mind is energized and serene? where is it that you have moments of awareness for your being? for your dreams and desires? where is it that you let to and allow?
when your thoughts are negative – feeling the lack of what you want, wandering aimlessly about things that are not true and will not happen, angry or overwhelmed – what do you do to stop your thoughts?
do you think about what you do want?
do you think about what you can be grateful for in the now moment?
do you journal, go for a walk, meditate?
do you say out loud “stop!” to interrupt the thought and pick a new one?
when you realize that your thoughts are negative, choose one of the above to stop those thoughts and focus on something positive.
