summer is a time of deep connecting for me
i’m out in nature a lot more

i’d like to live a simple life. but i make life not simple.
there are many wants that i want and it’s a challenge for me to find the balance between healthy wanting and lacking wanting. lacking want leads me to feeling overwhelmed.
when i think of simple it’s not really a simple life that i want.

what i really want is to experience and feel all those things that are important to me.
the question is then, what is important to me?
the next question, am i doing what’s important to me?
someday’s yes, someday’s no.
on someday’s no, i ask myself, what’s important to me? what do i want?
and then, my life goes back to being a little simpler. not because it’s a simpler life, because it’s the life that i want to live. and living the life that i want to live is being connected to me.
being connected to me, that feels good, positive, simple – even when it’s not. that is the energy of being connected.

what do you do to get centered and grounded?
it is important for me to get centered and grounded for many different reasons.
for myself so that i connect to the truth and love in me. so that i am aware of what’s most important to me. for myself so that i am a positive energy and i am connected to me.
for my family so that i am present and patient. so that i am open and loving. so that i am ready to laugh and ready to be accountable. for my family so that we are connected.
for being a difference maker, so that i am present and in the moment. for being a difference maker so i am in alignment and we are connected.
for the world so that my positive energy can flow and be a light and source of positive energy to as many people as possible. for the world so that we are connected.

something that i want to develop more is my intuition.
recognizing my intuition and listening to it, following it.
how does intuition show up in your life?
in my life it’s the little nudges, i should grab … i should call… i might want this…
when do you listen to your intuition? when don’t you listen to your intuition?
on this journey of expanding my awareness to intuition one of the triggers that is sometimes true for me when i’m not listening to my intuition is that i’m choosing a “should” instead of a “want”.
i’ve noticed that when i’ve chosen not to follow my intuition i was second guessing myself, pushing myself to do something that didn’t feel comfortable.
how does it feel when you are listening to your intuition? and when you’re not?
i felt anxious, like i had done something wrong and had to defend my decision when i didn’t listen to my intuition.
when i listen to my intuition i feel positively challenged, and that i was flowing with the river of life and connected to my inner being.
