when your thoughts are negative – feeling the lack of what you want, wandering aimlessly about things that are not true and will not happen, angry or overwhelmed – what do you do to stop your thoughts?
do you think about what you do want?
do you think about what you can be grateful for in the now moment?
do you journal, go for a walk, meditate?
do you say out loud “stop!” to interrupt the thought and pick a new one?
when you realize that your thoughts are negative, choose one of the above to stop those thoughts and focus on something positive.
life is easy? can it be? life is filled with challenges and obstacles. life is filled with wants, and more wants. i’m sure that you can give me a list of wants that you have right now, and you can tell me how they all seem to be just out of your grasp.
wants out of your grasp create feelings of overwhelm as you think about the lack of what you want, giving you stress, anxiety and fear.
how much do you truly want this want? how often do you think of this want? are your thoughts positive or negative? yes, there is a difference in wants. you have positive feeling wants and you have negative feeling wants.
a negative feeling want, can be a positive feeling want. if you are thinking about the want and feeling the lack of it, it is a negative feeling want, you are doing more to push the want away than to bring it closer to you.
when you are feeling negatively towards your wants you see all the challenges and obstacles. you see these as blocks and allow them to slow you down or to stop you in the pursuit of your want.
a positive feeling want is a want that you think about with positive desire, feeling happy and grateful that you choose to create the want in your life. feeling connected, high energy, enthusiasm and excitement for how you will feel when you have this want.
when you are connected to your wants positively, life is easy. when you are thinking positively about your wants you open yourself to opportunities to create what you want. energy is flowing to you and through you. you are inspired to take action.
i imagine that you can look back at the wants that you have had in your life and tell me about some that were negative feeling and took a long time to get the want. i also imagine that you can tell me about positive feeling wants you now enjoy that came to you easily.
what do you want now? is it a negative feeling want or a positive feeling want?
choose to think positively about what you want. connect to how you will feel living with this want and let the positive feelings give you energy, enthusiasm and excitement to create what you want.

i am going to challenge myself to be grateful – more than i ever have. to be a positive energy that is felt when i am with others. to feel gratitude and be grateful throughout the entire day; grateful, happy and positive for all things big and small throughout my day.
i want to create a habit of gratitude in my activities, in my thoughts, in my being, in my doing. when my thoughts are negative i want to think about what is most important, what i want to create, and what i am grateful for.
i am judging of myself often in many areas of my life. there is a lot i want and i am grateful for that awareness so i can choose what i want to create. but i judge myself when i’m not being or doing what i want and when i don’t make the choices to create the life i want to live.
what will happen if i am grateful for this awareness, grateful for my experience, grateful for learning and growth, grateful for opportunity, and stop judging? what will happen if i am grateful for my being, my doing and my experiencing and stop judging because i know that i am growing and will not be, do and experience perfectly? that i will make mistakes, bad choices, choices that aren’t creating what i want but giving me instant gratification. sometimes that’s okay, sometimes it’s truly not what i want and then i judge myself.
let go the judging. feel gratitude and choose to think about what’s most important to me, what i want, what i want to create.
i am choosing to be positive and grateful. i want a positive energy creating what i want for myself and for others. there is a lot of good in my life and it’s easy to be grateful for it. there is a lot of challenge in my life and it is easy to feel overwhelmed. i am going to be aware. i am going to think about what i want, what i can do to create what i want. i am going to ask myself, “what do i want to create?”
