What if feeling off is actually a sign you’re growing?
Eyes welling up, she sat across from me and said, “I just feel… lost. Like I don’t know who I am anymore.”
She had done all the things. Raised her kids. Showed up at work. Held it together through chaos, caregiving, and curveballs. And now? Life had quieted down, but inside, she was unraveling. “I should feel grateful,” she said, “but instead, I feel empty.”
Maybe that sounds familiar.
Here’s what I told her—and what I want you to hear today:
You’re not lost. You’re just in a new season.
Life has rhythms, and midlife is often a time when the old story no longer fits, but the new one hasn’t fully formed yet. It’s not a breakdown—it’s a transition. A transformation. A remembering. A powerful in-between.
What if instead of forcing yourself to push through, you honored this season as sacred? What if this pause, this stillness, this uncertainty… is exactly where your next chapter begins?
Learn to recognize the season you’re in, what it’s asking of you, and how to stop resisting it—so you can move forward with grace, purpose, and a deep confidence you’re not behind… you’re becoming.
Let’s step into your next season—together.

Work with the Seasons of Change
There comes a time—often in midlife—when the question “Who am I now?” feels louder than ever. When the life you’ve built begins to feel distant from the life you want, and everything inside you whispers, “It’s time to come home to yourself.”
But here’s the truth no one really tells us when we’re growing up:
Life has rhythms. Seasons. Natural cycles.
And when we learn to live with them, not against them, we find our way back to ourselves—gracefully, powerfully, and on purpose.
You Are Not Meant to Be in Summer All Year Long
We live in a culture that worships productivity and constant motion. We’re told to “push through,” “hustle,” “keep going.” But nature doesn’t live like that—and neither should you.
Just like the Earth moves through spring, summer, fall, and winter, you do, too.
Let’s look at the seasons of life energy, and how they show up:
- Spring (Awakening & Exploration):
You feel called to start something new—reconnecting with a passion, exploring a hobby, or questioning what’s next. It’s a time of gentle curiosity. You try things on without pressure. - Summer (Action & Creation):
You’re full of energy, ideas, and drive. This is when you start that new business, plan the retreat, write the book, or say yes to that dream that’s been waiting. You say “yes” to opportunities and putting your voice out there. It feels electric. - Fall (Reflection & Refinement):
You begin to slow down and reflect on what’s working and what’s not. You prune what’s not aligned so you can move forward with more clarity. You say no to commitments that once lit you up but now drain you. - Winter (Rest & Integration):
You feel the need to turn inward, to rest and regroup. It’s a sacred pause—a time for deeper listening and stillness. You stop pushing and begin doing less. You clear your calendar. You breathe.
When You Work Against the Season, You Burn Out.
So many of the women I work with are tired—not just physically, but spiritually. They’re running on a loop of “shoulds,” ignoring the quiet voice of their own body and soul.
They’re in a winter but trying to force themselves to function in summer.
Or they’re in a fall, being asked to reflect, but they fear what they’ll find in the quiet. So, they fill the silence with busy.
And that’s where the emptiness sets in. The disconnection. The numbness. The quiet ache of, “Is this really all there is?”
But when we learn to ask:
- Where am I right now?
- What do I need in this season?
- What would working with this energy look like?
We begin to live in graceful alignment.
Navigate Life’s Rhythms with Harmony
- Honor Your Current Season Without Judgment
Instead of forcing productivity when you feel the need to rest, give yourself permission to pause.
If you’re in winter, give yourself quiet mornings, unplug from social media, allow more naps or creative play. You’re not lazy—you’re integrating.
- Create a Life Calendar Based on Energy, Not Just Time
Just like you might plan your year around school schedules or holidays, try mapping your own personal seasons.
Spring = plan new beginnings. Summer = take action. Fall = reflect and edit. Winter = rest and renew.
- Check In Monthly: What Is My Energy Asking of Me?
Make it a habit. Sit with a journal and write:- What feels expansive?
- What feels heavy?
- Where do I need to give myself grace right now?
- What am I craving more of?
- Let Go of Guilt Around Rest
Rest is not a reward. It’s a rhythm. When you honor it, you prevent burnout and stay connected to your purpose.
Think of winter as soul composting. All the deep transformation is happening underground. Trust it.
- Surround Yourself with Seasonal Allies
Whether it’s a coach, a retreat, a sisterhood of women walking the same path—don’t go it alone. Having support helps you not just survive the season, but thrive in it.
This Is the Season to Come Home to Yourself
If you’ve been feeling disconnected… uncertain… like the woman you’ve been no longer fits who you’re becoming—you are not broken. You are simply in a new season.
Your energy is shifting. Your values are evolving. Your inner being is whispering it’s time to come back to yourself.
You don’t need to have all the answers today.
You just need to listen. Honor where you are.
And begin to walk with life, not against it.
Because when you live in rhythm with your truth—
You create a life filled with meaning, joy, and purpose.
You reconnect to your passion.
You find your direction.
You become your whole, wild, powerful self again.
And that’s the most beautiful season of all.
