What Do You Already Know Deep Down?

Last week I asked myself, “Am I living my truth?” This week, in the middle of my own tidal wave of change, a new question rose up. “What do I already know deep down?”

If you have ever felt pulled in every direction at once, you know what I mean. Everything feels urgent. Everything feels like a priority. Which, of course, means nothing really is. I found myself circling, unsure of where I was even trying to get to, unsure of what I was trying to create. And underneath all that circling was one simple truth. It begins with awareness.

The Question Beneath the Question

Awareness is not about having every answer figured out. It is about slowing down long enough to notice what is already there, waiting.

When I ask, “what do I already know deep down?” I am not searching outside myself for direction. I am reconnecting to what I already carry inside. My inner being. My inner wisdom. The part of me that knows, even when my mind is loud with everyone else’s expectations.

Reflection prompt: What have you been overriding, dismissing, or too busy to hear?

When Everything Feels Like a Priority

Overwhelm has a way of drowning out awareness. When every task and every role feels equally urgent, it becomes almost impossible to trust your own inner voice. You end up making decisions from noise instead of from knowing.

This is where the question becomes a practice, not a one-time answer. Asking “what do I already know deep down?” is a way of coming back to yourself, again and again, until it becomes a rhythm rather than a rescue.

A few ways this has looked for me lately:

  • Pausing before saying yes, and asking if it aligns
  • Noticing which choices feel expansive and which feel heavy
  • Trusting the pull toward something, even without a full explanation

The Journey Was Never a Straight Line

Here is something I have had to remember. How many of us have actually walked a journey that was a straight line? None. Not one.

So when a choice leads me somewhere winding, somewhere roundabout, I am learning that it does not mean I have gotten it wrong. It simply means the path is doing what paths do. Curving. Unfolding. Still, eventually, arriving.

Living your truth is living your becoming. It is being who you want to be and doing what matters most to you, so that the life you are creating is one you actually want to live. It is sharing your experiences with the people you want beside you.

Reflection prompt: Where in your life have you judged a winding path as a wrong one?

Awareness Is Where It Begins

“Am I living my truth?” The honest answer is yes, even when it does not always feel that way.

Life ebbs and flows. It changes and grows as we change and grow. As I move through my own season of transition, one that is touching nearly every part of my life, I keep returning to this question. Not because I need a perfect answer, but because asking it keeps me aligned. It keeps me following my own unique path instead of someone else’s.

Awareness does not hand you a five year plan. It hands you the next aligned step. And then the one after that.

What Do You Know, Deep Down?

You already carry more wisdom than you give yourself credit for. The question is not whether it is there. The question is whether you are willing to slow down long enough to listen.

What do you already know deep down? What might shift if you trusted it?

If you are ready to reconnect to that inner knowing, the WILD! Wisdom and Awareness Workbook was created to help you do exactly that, gently and at your own pace.

You are always becoming; you are always creating. Today you are more than you were yesterday, and tomorrow you are more than you are today.
